17 October 2019 deadline for RTL equipment service requests
Important information for EMS equipment assessors
Enable New Zealand’s new equipment service request system is expected to go live on Tuesday 22nd October 2019.
This preliminary notice outlines key dates to be aware of, and instructions for managing your equipment service requests in the next three weeks.
Key dates
Thursday 17 October (4PM): Last day for access to Enable Online RTL
You have until 4pm on Thursday 17 October to access Enable Online RTL.
Please ensure all your service requests submitted between now and 17 October have all relevant documentation attached. For example:
- EMS assessor section (portal document)
- completed EMS advice outcome summaries
- quotes and scripts.
Friday 18 October to Monday 21 October: Equipment service requests cannot be submitted to Enable New Zealand (ENZ)
You will not be able to submit any equipment service requests to ENZ, either through RTL or the new system over this 4-day period, which includes a weekend.
Tuesday 22 October (AM): New equipment service request system available
On the morning of 22 October new user IDs and tutorials will be emailed out. We will provide more details nearer the launch date.
What you need to do from now
- Check all your current RTL service requests and either progress them, or close/cancel any that are no longer required.
- Check your emails for any requests for further documentation and email them to moh.processing@enable.co.nz
- Update your EMS Assessor Online email address and phone number. We will be using these contact details to communicate with you.
Service requests from 18 October
What will happen with your current RTL equipment service requests once RTL is closed off:
- RTL service requests at ‘initiating’ will be cancelled.
- RTL service requests at ‘fulfilling’ will be managed by ENZ.
- Outstanding trials for current RTL service requests will be managed by ENZ.
Please note:
- No RTL service requests will be moved to the new system.
- You can continue to request outreach clinic appointments in the usual way.
- You can continue to submit EMS advice service requests in ProWorkflow.

We will provide more information soon about accessing the new system and the support available.
