ENZ equipment system issues update and tips 8 November 2019
Enable New Zealand (ENZ) advises EMS equipment assessors that:
- The band 2, 3 ‘submit’ issue has been resolved
- The backlog of ‘new client’ equipment requests submitted before 1 November has been cleared, and Band 1 items should be delivered within the next 5 working days.
Tips to prevent your request being delayed or cancelled
Always search for an existing client record before creating a new one
- To avoid creating duplicate records which we have to merge, please always search our system.
- Your client may be ‘new’ to you but have an existing record with us for another service. ENZ has a large database of client records that have already been validated against the NHI database.
- Please do not keep creating client records because you cannot see your service request. See PDF information below.
Attach all required documents to your service request
- Documents cannot be added to a service request once it has been submitted (by you, or us).
- Be sure to attach any/all required documents when you are in the Eligibility Details screen.
- A tip: If using the EMS Portal and you wish to save a draft, try using the ‘Park’ button. It’s next to the ‘Submit’ button in the EMS Assessor Section.
Always save a copy of the Application Confirmation PDF
- You will not be able to see your request once you submit it.
- The Application Confirmation PDF gives you the ENZ reference number, and confirms your request has been submitted.
- To save the PDF to your computer, click the Download button in the pop-up box.
Enter address data in correct fields
Please do not put the street address in the unit/building field.
