Submitting MOH equipment requests to ENZ from Tuesday 22 October 2019

Important information for EMS equipment assessors

Your access to Enable Online RTL is now inactive, effective Friday 18 October 2019.

Enable New Zealand’s (ENZ) new equipment service request system goes live on Tuesday 22 October 2019.

This update sets out:

  • how you can prepare for the new equipment system, so you have a good experience
  • how and when you will receive access to the new system so you can continue to submit requests to ENZ for Ministry of Health funded equipment.

We are sure you will find the new equipment system faster and easier to use. If you do experience anything that is not working for you please let us know.

How to prepare for the new equipment system

  1. Check that Google Chrome (latest version) is the internet browser on your computer. Google Chrome is the preferred browser. We are unable to guarantee the best experience for you on other browsers such as IE (Internet Explorer), Firefox, Edge etc.
  2. Check your EMS Assessor Online email address and phone number are current and correct. We will be using these contact details to communicate with you. View your EMS Assessor Online account
  3. Ensure you are subscribed to our equipment email updates service. Subscribe for updates
  4. Check your emails or DFI notices regularly for further updates and information from ENZ. View equipment updates on DFI

  6. Email enable@enable.co.nz if you are interested in attending a Zoom meeting on Wednesday 23 October 2019 at 8.30am to demonstrate the new equipment system. More details are provided below.
  7. Check your colleagues are aware of the new equipment system.
  8. Be familiar with the documents required for the various service request types. Please note that your request will be cancelled if the complete and correct documentation is not included. View ENZ equipment forms

Submitting equipment requests from Tuesday 22 October 2019

New logins to be emailed out 22 October

On the morning of 22 October 2019 you will receive an email with the following information:

  1. A link to the new equipment system.
  2. Your new user ID.
  3. Your temporary password, which you will be prompted to reset after you log in.
  4. A link to user guides for the new equipment system.
  5. Contact details for support using the new system.

The new equipment system will be live from 8am on Tuesday 22 October 2019.

Once you have reset your password you will be able to submit all types of equipment service requests except those for accessories under $1000.

Requests for accessories under $1000 cannot be submitted initially

Due to a technical issue you will be unable to request accessories under $1000 on Tuesday 22 October. We will advise you when the issue has been resolved. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but we want to make sure the new equipment system is working properly for this type of request.

Support will be available

User guides for assessors using the new equipment system will be available on our Disability Funding Information (DFI) website.

ENZ contact person – We will provide a list of ENZ contact people for each DHB. If you are in that DHB region please do not hesitate to make contact with your designated ENZ staff member if you need further information or any assistance.

Survey – We will also provide a link to a survey for your feedback on your experience with the new equipment system.

Book place at system demo on Wednesday 23 October 2019

We are planning to hold a Zoom meeting on Wednesday 23 October 2019 at 8.30am for any person to join us for a demonstration of the new equipment system.

  • Email enable@enable.co.nz to book a place.
  • Please note there is a limit of 100 people.
  • We will publish a video of the demonstration and will advise you when the video is available and how to access it.
