EMS Assessors
The Accreditation Framework for health professionals undertaking assessments that may subsequently result in service requests for equipment and modification services for people with disabilities, was introduced by the Ministry of Health in August 2010
The Accreditation Framework has categories (approved / credentialed / service accreditation) of accreditation for access to Ministry of Health funded equipment and modification services. Credentialed categories are valid for a three year period from the date it is approved.
In April 2012 the Online Application system for EMS Assessors to apply for accreditation was introduced. The system ensures all required information is supplied and that the employer / supervisor supports the application.
